The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Region has indefinitely suspended Takora Attawa, the Women’s Organiser for Wa Central, citing repeated misconduct as the reason for the action.
In a statement issued by the Constituency Secretary, Mumuni Abass Sidik, the party highlighted Attawa’s violation of Articles 3(5)(a)(2) of the NPP constitution, emphasizing the party’s values of loyalty, discipline, and unity.
The suspension, effective immediately, prohibits Madam Attawa from acting in her role as Women’s Organiser while an investigation into her conduct is carried out.
“This decision is in line with Article 3(7)(1) of the NPP Constitution, which authorizes the Constituency Executive Committee to suspend any officer for misconduct or defiance, pending an inquiry by the disciplinary committee,” the statement explained.
The party urged Attawa to reflect on her actions and the negative impact they have had on the NPP, encouraging her to reconsider her behavior moving forward.
