Nana Owusu Achiaw Brempong, a 70-year-old farmer from the Sekyere Central District in the Ashanti Region, has been honored as the National Best Farmer.
With five decades of experience in farming, Nana Owusu is the proud owner of North American Farms, a thriving enterprise that employs 168 workers and produces a wide range of crops, including cocoa and cashew.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to agriculture, he was awarded a grand prize of one million Ghana cedis.
During his acceptance speech at the Farmers Day celebration on November 8, Nana Owusu Achiaw Brempong emphasized the need for greater national focus on food security.
The Farmers Day event, which took place across the country, celebrated the invaluable contributions of farmers to Ghana’s economy.
The occasion was graced by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, along with other distinguished guests.
