John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has officially opened a new maternity ward at Atebubu Hospital in the Bono East Region.
The facility, named the Nana Owusu Akyeaw II Maternity Ward, was constructed and fully financed by the former President as part of his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Mr. Mahama revealed that the construction of the facility was in response to an appeal by Nana Owusu Akyeaw Brempong II, the Chief of Atebubu, aimed at enhancing access to quality healthcare services in the area.
The state-of-the-art maternity ward is designed to offer comprehensive maternal and neonatal care, including delivery and postnatal services.
