The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that all form two students in transitional track schools will be allowed to break for the Easter holidays starting Thursday, April 17, 2025.

In an official statement, the GES stated that the break will conclude on Monday, April 21, 2025. Students are expected to return to school on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to resume academic work without delay.

“Students who wish to spend the Easter holidays with their families should be given the opportunity to do so,” the statement said.

However, the GES clarified that the Easter break is not mandatory. Students who prefer to remain on campus during the period will be permitted to stay, provided there is proper supervision.

The directive is part of efforts to allow students to observe the Easter festivities while maintaining academic discipline and continuity.

All Regional Directors have been therefore directed to disseminate the information to heads of all the schools in the specified category for the necessary action.
