The Special Committee set up by Parliament to investigate the disruptions that occurred during the Appointments Committee sittings on January 30 and 31 has officially begun its first public hearing.
The seven-member committee, chaired by Ho West MP Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, has been given a 10-day deadline to examine the incident and present its findings.
Chairman Bedzrah assured the public that the committee’s purpose is not to target or victimize any Member of Parliament or citizen but to ensure a fair and thorough investigation.
He also called on individuals with multimedia footage of the chaotic events to submit them, emphasizing that such evidence would be crucial in establishing the facts and reaching an informed conclusion.
