Samuel Owusu Amankwaa, the disqualified parliamentary contender of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, has petitioned the party's National Parliamentary Appeals Committee to overturn the Vetting Committee's judgment.

He claims that the grounds for declaring him ineligible to run for the parliamentary ticket are unjust and violate natural justice principles.
