The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South is advocating for all National Service Personnel to undergo compulsory basic training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based OTEC FM, Dr. Agyemang stressed the importance of equipping Ghanaian youth with life-saving skills to handle emergencies effectively.

He highlighted recent tragic incidents, including the stabbing of Nana Pooley, a passionate Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter, during a football match. Referring to how the situation was managed in Nsoatre, Bono Region, he pointed out that having individuals with basic CPR knowledge on the scene could have made a difference.

Dr. Agyemang believes this initiative will empower young people with critical emergency response skills, ultimately contributing to saving lives.
