A group of concerned parents and students gathered at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) office in Kumasi on Wednesday, demanding the immediate release of withheld results from the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The delay has affected over 2,000 students, primarily from T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, preventing them from proceeding with university admissions.

Frustration Over WAEC’s Silence

Parents disclosed that WAEC had contacted the affected students, instructing them to visit the regional office to verify alleged exam malpractice. However, after arriving as early as 8 a.m., they were met with no communication or explanation from WAEC officials, intensifying their frustration.

Many parents expressed deep concern over the delay, fearing it could jeopardize their children’s education and future opportunities. They urged WAEC to resolve the issue swiftly and release the final results to avoid disruptions in the students’ academic progress.
