Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A Plus and Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has praised Ghana’s Parliament for its exceptional level of organization, describing it as the most well-structured public institution in the country.

In a video shared by The 1957 News on social media, A Plus admitted that his perspective on Parliament and its operations underwent a significant change after becoming part of the legislative body.

He revealed that while he initially harbored doubts about the institution, his firsthand experience proved otherwise. “I think that Parliament is the most organized public institution in Ghana. This is the only place I have been to where everything works—except for the grass, which is not green,” he noted with a touch of humor.

A Plus commended the facility managers for maintaining the parliamentary complex and ensuring its infrastructure and amenities function seamlessly.

“One challenge we have as Ghanaians is that we do not appreciate honesty. But I want to say that before coming here, I had my own perception. Now, I can confidently say that this is a very organized institution,” he added.

The Gomoa Central MP also participated in the vetting of ministerial nominees appointed by former President John Dramani Mahama, further demonstrating his active involvement in parliamentary proceedings.

His remarks offer a rare endorsement of the legislative body’s internal systems and management, standing as a testament to the work done behind the scenes to uphold its efficiency.
