Mahama Fuseini Confirmed as Central Gonja DCE with Overwhelming Support

Mahama Fuseini has been officially confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Central Gonja District in the Savannah Region, receiving near-unanimous backing from the assembly.

The confirmation took place on Monday, April 14, 2025, during a vote by the district's assembly members. Of the 43 votes cast, Fuseini secured 42 in his favor, with only one dissenting vote — earning him a remarkable 98% endorsement.

In his acceptance remarks, Fuseini expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and reaffirmed his dedication to furthering President John Dramani Mahama’s development goals within the district. He also pledged to collaborate with local stakeholders to enhance the well-being of residents.

His confirmation follows his nomination by President Mahama in late March 2025, as part of a nationwide list of DCE candidates currently undergoing vetting and approval in various districts.
