During a parliamentary meeting on Wednesday, Mustapha Ussif, the Minister of Youth and Sports, disclosed that $3 million was allocated for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

He stated that the Ministry of Finance had made a total of $5,007,840.36 available for this purpose.

Mr. Ussif went on to say that following the Black Stars' elimination from the competition at the Group Stage, there was still a surplus of $2,177,720.55.
