Ghana’s inflation rate saw a slight decline in February 2025, dropping to 23.1% from the 23.5% recorded in January. The reduction was primarily driven by a 1.8% decrease in food inflation.

Speaking to journalists, Government Statistician Prof. Samuel Kobina Annim highlighted the impact of the steady decline in food inflation on the overall inflation rate.

“For the past four months, food inflation has consistently dropped on a month-on-month basis, decreasing by 2.0 percentage points between November 2024 and February 2025,” he stated.

Despite this downward trend, Prof. Annim noted that February’s annual inflation rate remains the third-highest recorded in the last 10 months.
