National Economic Dialogue is more than a symbolic exercise – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated that the National Economic Dialogue is not merely a symbolic gesture or a political promise but a vital initiative aimed at revitalizing Ghana’s economy.

Speaking at the opening session on Monday, March 3, President Mahama emphasized that the dialogue serves as a crucial platform for addressing the country's economic challenges and shaping a sustainable future.

“This gathering is not just a formality or a campaign commitment,” he stated. “It is a significant step in our collective responsibility to reset Ghana’s economy, rebuild confidence, and create the prosperous future we all aspire to.”

He called for open and constructive discussions that focus on solutions rather than rhetoric.

“We are here today to engage in honest conversations about the difficulties we face and the opportunities that lie ahead. Ghana is at a turning point, and the decisions we make now will shape our economic trajectory for years to come,” he noted.

Under the theme Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together, President Mahama reaffirmed his dedication to a collaborative approach that fosters resilience and sustainable growth.

“This theme underscores our shared responsibility to build an economy that is strong, inclusive, and future-ready. It is an open call to all stakeholders to contribute their expertise and commitment to this national cause,” he concluded.
