Ashanti Regional Police Commander Reassigned

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Frank Abrokwa, has reportedly been removed from his position and reassigned to the Police Headquarters, sources have confirmed to Joy News.

His transfer follows recent disturbances during the Council of State elections in the Ashanti Region, where a group of thugs disrupted the voting process. DCOP Abrokwa was the senior officer overseeing security at the event.

Insiders reveal that the current Commander of the Central West Police Region has been appointed to replace him.

Meanwhile, law enforcement authorities have launched a manhunt to track down those responsible for the violence at the Regional Coordinating Council.
