It has been confirmed by the Honorable Samuel Abu Jinapor,
Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, that 262 acres of the
Achimota Forest would be returned to the Owoo family, who are its allotted owners.
At a press conference on Wednesday, August 14, 2024,
Mr. Jinapor disclosed that the Owoo family would receive
their land back after President Mahama's administration decided to do so in 2013.
The cabinet gave its approval on September 5 of that year, meaning the Owoo family will receive their land back.
