Dr. Johnson Asiama, the newly appointed Governor of the Bank of Ghana, has pledged to rebuild public confidence in the financial sector, assuring Ghanaians of a stable and transparent economic system.

Speaking at his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, February 25, Dr. Asiama outlined his vision for a resilient economy driven by responsible financial governance, digital innovation, and sound economic policies.

“Our commitment to resetting the economy is not just rhetoric—it is a deliberate effort to restore confidence and stability,” he emphasized.

He reassured businesses and individuals of a predictable and secure financial system that would enable long-term planning and foster economic growth.
