2025 AFCONQ: Black Stars arrive in Oujda for Niger game

Ghana Black Stars have arrived in Oujda, Morocco ahead their second Group F encounter in the 2025 AFCON qualifier against the West African neighbors, Niger. A total of 23 players were accompanied in the journey with the only notable exclusion being Joseph Paintsil who was left behind in Accra to sort out some problems with his passport. The forward of the Los Angeles Galaxy will be reporting back to the U. S. after dealing with it.

Ghana has every reason to get back from their bad start going by their 1-0 loss to Angola in their opening qualifier done at the Baba Yara Stadium. A win against Niger is crucial in as much as the team seeks redemption. The Black Stars is expected to have their training session today and also the following day in readiness for the match.

The match will be played on Monday 9th of September, 2024 at 16:00 GMT in Berkane Municipal Stadium.

The 23-man squad includes Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Joseph Wollacott, Frederick Asare, Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Jerome Opoku, Mohammed Salisu, Abdul Mumin, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Jordan Ayew, Elisha Owusu, and Ibrahim Osman.

Also in the lineup are Inaki Williams, Kingsley Schindler, Majeed Ashimeru, Abu Francis, Forson Amankwah, and Mohammed Kudus.
