Black Stars coach Otto Addo is expected to announce his team for the forthcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers today at exactly 12:00 pm Ghana time. Ghana will play Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5 and then face Niger four days later.
This is the first time this team has convened since Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) had been conquered consecutively in the June 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The team’s tactician Otto Addo, whose approach was quite decisive and quite bold during the match selection process, did not include the team captain Andre Ayew during the last round of the matches. The former Borussia Dortmund talent coach should continue with the policy of choosing active and form players and this means that most of the players currently in the team who performed well in the recent games will be retained.
