Mahama appoints Mohammed Abdul-Salam as Acting NLA CEO

President John Mahama has named Mohammed Abdul-Salam as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
According to a statement signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, the appointment became effective on Wednesday, January 15.
Mohammed Abdul-Salam, who currently serves as the Northern Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will take on the role following the resignation of Sammi Awuku.
Mr. Awuku, now the Member of Parliament for the Akuapem North constituency, officially stepped down in a letter dated January 13, in which he urged the President to appoint a successor to facilitate a seamless transition and handover of responsibilities.
