Ghana coach Otto Addo is set to reveal his squad later this week for the crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying doubleheader against Sudan.

After a disappointing start to their campaign, the Black Stars will aim to recover following a 1-0 home defeat to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium and a 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane. Addo is anticipated to call upon key players such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, and goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi as Ghana seeks to revive its qualification chances.

Currently sitting third in their group with just one point, the Black Stars must secure a win to improve their standing. The first fixture is slated for Friday, October 11, at home against Sudan, followed by the return leg in Libya at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Monday, October 14.

Uncertainty surrounds the venue for Ghana’s home match, as the Baba Yara Stadium has been banned due to poor pitch conditions. Inspections by CAF officials have taken place at the Accra and Cape Coast stadiums, which are being considered as alternatives.

Ghana, chasing a fifth AFCON title, must deliver strong performances in these qualifiers to keep their hopes alive.
