NCA’s Director of Cyber Security Dismissed by Communications Minister

Samuel Nartey George, the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, has terminated the appointment of Mr. Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Mafo as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).

Mr. Osafo-Mafo has been instructed to hand over his responsibilities to the Acting Director General of the NCA immediately.

In an official letter signed by the Ministry’s Chief Director, Alexander Yaw Arphul, the decision was formally communicated:

“I wish to inform you that the Minister has terminated your appointment as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority, effective immediately.”

The letter further directed him to transfer his duties to the Acting Director General of the NCA. Additionally, in line with the terms of his appointment, he will receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.

The statement concluded with an acknowledgment of his contributions: “The Honourable Minister extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.”
