Independent parliamentary candidate and founder of the Glory and Dominion Ministry, Prophet Elijah Joshua, has pledged to restore the recently vandalized statue of former President Nana Akufo-Addo in Takoradi.

The statue, a prominent symbol of Akufo-Addo’s leadership, was defaced by unidentified individuals, sparking outrage and condemnation from various quarters.

Speaking on the matter, Prophet Joshua revealed that he had received a spiritual revelation about the potential consequences of such an act, cautioning that the defacement could bring negative repercussions to Sekondi-Takoradi and the entire Western Region.

“The desecration of this statue is not just an act of vandalism but a sign of deep disrespect and division,” he said. “It is important that we take corrective measures to restore what has been destroyed and promote unity.”

Prophet Joshua called on the government to take swift action by issuing a strong warning against similar acts of vandalism, emphasizing that failing to do so could embolden others to engage in such destructive behavior.

In addition to rebuilding the statue, Prophet Joshua issued a stern caution to would-be vandals, warning that any attempt to deface the new structure would bring spiritual repercussions.

“I will ensure that a new statue is erected, and I want to make it clear that anyone who dares to vandalize it will bring curses upon themselves,” he declared.

The defacement has ignited broader discussions about respect for national symbols and the need for greater accountability in preserving them. Prophet Joshua’s commitment to restoring the statue underscores his dedication to fostering unity and respect within the region.
