Hearts of Oak, a Ghana Premier League team, has revealed that they will be using the Legon Sports Stadium as their interim home ground. This move comes in response to the National Sports Authority’s decision to temporarily close the Accra Sports Stadium for minor renovation works.
“The management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC is by this statement notifying all of our stakeholders and the general public that we have adopted the Legon Sports Stadium as our temporal home venue due to the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium.
“The Legon Stadium will remain our home venue for the 2024-2025 football season until the Accra Sports Stadium or our alternative venue is ready for usage,” Hearts of Oak said in a press release on Wednesday, September 18.
Hearts of Oak, yet to secure a victory in their first two matches of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, will be looking to clinch their first win as they face Bechem United in their Matchday three clash on Sunday, September 22.
