The Paediatric Society of Ghana, at its 2026 AGSM in Koforidua, warned that climate change, pollution and galamsey are driving rising cases of asthma, strokes and congenital disorders. Experts linked heavy metal pollution in water bodies to child health risks and called for urgent national action.
