The Environmental Protection Authority has launched a water cleanup on the Birim River at Kyebi Adukrom using Ionic Nano Copper technology. CEO Nana Ama Brown Klutse said $200,000 was spent on the pilot, which can clean 1km of river and curb galamsey pollution.
